Chicks Love Them

First of all. Yes these are pretty gross at first. I donโ€™t consider myself a squeamish person, but it took a couple feedings not to have to overcome some icky feelings.

Iโ€™m a first time chicken parent and upon researching it looks like itโ€™s ok to give chicks a few treats like these fly larvae around 3 weeks old. For the first couple days I cut them into smaller pieces.

My chicks LOVE them. When one gets a larvae they brag about it. They make their happy chirp and run around the brooder. These are much healthier than mealworms, and when you buy in bulk the price is decent! I would definitely recommend these.
